This is the bike I’ve always said I’d never sell, but I’m moving out of state and can’t take her with me. It’s a ’78 R100/7 I bought over 8 years ago. Since then it’s been my daily driver and ongoing project. There’s way too much to list but I’ll try. I put the bike on a serious diet removing everything non essential, shaved the frame, shortened the subframe, made a minimalist seat and had it upholstered in leather, shaved the front forks, ditched the 15lb stock battery for a 2 lb lithium, made a battery box out of a aluminum military surplus container and hid it under the transmission. The engine is stock, I did recently replace the rear main seal and put in a new clutch while I was in there. Upgraded to electronic ignition and upgraded coils, upgraded carbs to mikuni round slides with k&n pod filters, rear sets with custom linkage, new progressive shocks in the back and progressive springs up front, dunstal replica exhaust (always get compliments on how good it sounds), the headlight is from an old Triumph. I mounted the starter button in the headlight and retained the oil and neutral lights. Lot of other custom touches and handmade parts.

This is not a show bike, there are chips and scratches and a small dent in the tank, but it is beautiful and unique and has a ton of character. It’s also the most reliable bike I’ve ever owned, in 8 years of riding it has never broken down or left me stranded and starts every time. Runs excellent, handles excellent, keeps up with modern bikes no problem. Religiously maintained with oil changes and valve adjustments, etc. She’s a head turner and conversation starter everywhere she goes, was featured in the In The Wind book of motorcycles and tattoo flash. Clean title in hand, current reg. Asking $5900obo. Serious inquiries only, please don’t text me at 2am just to ask if it’s still available (true story), if this add’s up it is.
